Mauna Loa Eruption Casts Red Glow Over Hawaii Night Sky

Mauna Loa, the largest active volcano on Earth, erupted late on Sunday, November 27, in Hawaii, the USGS said.

Footage recorded by Makana Silva in Kailua Kona shortly after midnight shows the eruption casting a red glow on the night sky.

In its latest update, USGS Volcanoes said lava flow remained confined to the summit caldera.
