Marvel star Jonathan Majors arrested for alleged assault
Marvel star Jonathan Majors has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a woman during a domestic dispute.
The New York Police Department released a statement noting that they had placed Majors into custody after receiving a report of a woman presenting minor injuries, who was taken to hospital.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, a representative for the Creed III actor said: "He has done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up."

According to a police statement, authorities were called to an apartment in Chelsea after responding to a 911 call where a male was involved in a domestic dispute with a female. The woman told police that she was assaulted and, according to the statement, she suffered minor injuries to her neck and head and was taken to hospital.
"The victim informed police she was assaulted," an NYPD spokesperson said in a statement to The Associated Press. "Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition."
As per the statement, the male, who police identified as Majors, is no longer in police custody after being arrested. The actor's relationship with the woman is being described only as "domestic".

Recently starring as Kang in Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Majors is rumoured to be reprising the role for season two of Loki, after first debuting as a variant of the character in Loki's first season.
Majors' most notable recent role was that of Damian 'Dame' Anderson in the third instalment of the Creed movie franchise. Starring in Creed III alongside Michael B Jordan, Majors faced Jordan's character Adonis Creed in the boxing ring.
