Married At First Sight Australia's Dion Giannarelli has confirmed that he is in a new relationship after his break-up from Carolina Santos.

The new romance comes after the Melbourne-based developer appeared on season nine of the hit show, and was blindsided when his new bride Carolina became involved in a relationship with fellow contestant Daniel Holmes.

"I can confirm I've found love right here on the Gold Coast and I'm very happy," he told Gold Coast Bulletin.

Despite confirming the relationship, the TV groom didn't give anything away about the mystery Gold Coast lady. Dion previously shared that he was on the market after there were reports that he had "rekindled" his romance with ex-girlfriend Nikki Walton.

"Dion made no secret that he had a girl waiting for him on the outside. He told castmates they called it quits five weeks before his wedding [to Carolina]," a source told Daily Mail Australia in March.

He then later debunked the rumours and told Yahoo: "No, that's definitely not the case at all. I was single when I entered the show and I was single when I signed up."

Since the show, Carolina and Daniel have spoken out about their relationship, claiming that the show's producers encouraged them to pursue it.

"They told us like, 'You guys are doing the right thing! Jess left! Dion's an idiot! You are doing the right thing!'" Daniel told Yahoo Lifestyle. "Everything bad you do they're like, 'Oh you're doing perfect!' They make you think that you're doing the right thing."

Carolina added: "Yeah that's their way to trick you into things. Just whatever feeling you're having, even if it's a negative thought, they always validate it like, 'Yeah, you're so right!'"

Married at First Sight and Married at First Sight Australia air on E4 and are streaming on All 4.
