Mario Lopez incurs 'busted' eye ahead of television gig

Mario Lopez was saved by some seriously high-coverage makeup.

On Tuesday, the television personality and actor, 50, revealed that he had suffered a ‘busted’ eye during what seemed to be an intense session of jiu jitsu.

The Saved by the Bell alum posted a couple of selfies on Instagram showing off his injury, which included a black eye and what appeared to be facial swelling.

However, Lopez didn’t let his gnarly appearance get in the way of his television gig later on in the day. In another photo, he’s seen on a set looking good as new.

“A little makeup magic and just like that…we’re back on TV!” he wrote in the caption of his post.

The Access Hollywood star definitely knows a thing or two about makeup. Earlier this year he partnered up with e.l.f. Cosmetics to help launch the brand’s limited-edition Sticky Shop merch inspired by the viral Power Grip Primer.
