Joe Biden's first day as president was full of traditional ceremonies and events in Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Mariah Carey couldn't be happier to witness the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

On Wednesday, during the inauguration ceremony, the Grammy winner, 50, shared her heartfelt sentiments about the new administration.

"'Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning,'" she wrote, quoting Psalms 30:5. "Tears of joy and prayers for our nation and the entire world ❤️ #BidenHarris."

Fellow star Kelly Rowland was among those to like the Instagram post.

In October, the songstress urged Americans to cast their "VOTE! 🗳️" in the presidential election. Carey also showed her support for Biden, 78, and Harris, 56, with a slew of hashtags alongside her photos, including "#BidenHarris2020," on social media.

In another Instagram post she shared in November, Carey included a helpful infographic with information on how to reach a voting information hotline. "Today is #ElectionDay - the last chance you have to make sure YOUR voice is HEARD!" she wrote.

And on Nov. 7, when the presidential election was called in favor of Biden and Harris, Carey shared a celebratory post of the two as they stood proudly in front of the American flag.

"Joy to the world!!! 🌎 " she captioned her post. "Thank you @joebiden @kamalaharris 😇😇."
