Margot Robbie’s Golden Globes Dress May Be Her Best Barbie-Inspired Look Yet

Margot Robbie is taking Barbiecore into 2024.

Robbie graced her first red carpet of the 2024 awards season at the Golden Globes on Sunday in a truly classic Barbie-themed ensemble, and this may be her best look yet.

The hot-pink Armani dress features huge (like, seriously huge) tulle sleeves and a skintight sparkly bodice. Robbie told Variety that she was channeling Superstar Barbie from 1977, a fitting tribute for an awards ceremony where she is up for one of the major prizes. We’re just going to say it: Out of all of Robbie’s Barbie-inspired red-carpet looks, we think this may just be the best one of all.

Barbie was not just a cultural reset. The film is sure to rack up awards this season, and the Globes is its first chance to bring home some hardware.

Robbie is nominated for best performance by a female actor in a motion picture (musical or comedy) for her starring role in the movie, which is up for nine awards total. Her costar, Ryan Gosling, who played Ken, is also nominated, as is his viral song from the film, “I’m Just Ken.”

Robbie’s Globes appearance is just the latest in her iconic Barbie-inspired red-carpet looks, which she and her stylist, Andrew Mukamal, graced us with all summer. And while her Golden Globes look is on another level, they all, honestly, were great. Like who could forget this pink Versace stunner from June?

With Barbie getting Oscar buzz, it’s safe to say this won’t be the last time Margot Robbie channels the iconic doll on the red carpet this year.
