Margot Robbie Debuts Strawberry Blonde Hair With Bold Bangs

Bye bye, Barbie.

So long Barbie press tour and doll-inspired fashion: Margot Robbie is officially turning over a new leaf and has the dye job to prove it. On Monday, the actress was spotted in Los Angeles (see photos here) filming her upcoming movie, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, alongside Colin Farrell. Robbie appeared on set wearing an ensemble devoid of hot pink, consisting of a navy blue V-neck top, cropped light-wash blue jeans, and slouchy brown knee-high boots.

The most notable part of Robbie's look, however, was the absence of her signature blonde hair. Instead, the star's color was an orange tinged, strawberry blonde shade perfect for spring. The color made her blue eyes pop, which were framed by semi-wispy bangs. Of course, there is a high chance that the new hair shade could be a wig, but Robbie is making a case to give the color a try at home.

While details about the movie are still largely under wraps, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey is "an imaginative tale of two strangers and the unbelievable journey that connects them," per Variety. The project marks Robbie's first major film since starring in last summer's blockbuster movie, Barbie.

Robbie's Barbie era officially came to a close after the Oscars earlier this year. “I’ve never been a part of something like this. Not like this. I’ve done comic book stuff and that gets a big reaction, but this felt very different. It still feels very different," Robbie told Deadline while reflecting on the role earlier this year. "I can’t think of a time when a movie’s had this effect on culture. And it’s amazing to be in the eye of the storm.”
