Manchester United have a decision to make over Marcus Rashford’s fitness for today’s visit of Burnley, says Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The forward continues to nurse a foot injury despite featuring in recent wins over Brighton, Granada and Tottenham. He was left on the bench for Thursday’s 2-0 Europa League win after missing training ahead of the quarter-final second leg.

"Big bonus that he didn't have to put any pressure on his foot, yeah," he said. "I've got to hope that he can be available and not make it worse.

“That's the decision I've got have to make, so fingers crossed. He wasn't due to be on the bench [against Granada], really. He didn't train but, just in case, he put his hand up and said, 'if needed I could do a job'.

"So, it's a decision I've got to make on Sunday morning but he's important for us. It's a difficult one because you've got to go by how Marcus feels in a couple of days."

Today's match could see Eric Bailly return to the United squad for the first time in a month, having previously tested positive for Covid-19.

"Eric has been isolating back home in Ivory Coast," Solskjaer said. "He's back to England now and hope that he can be available for the weekend. Hopefully he can train [on Friday], depending how he feels within himself.

"But he had a test [on Thursday], so we need to get confirmation that he's still negative."

Manchester United predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; McTominay, Fred; Greenwood, Fernandes, Pogba; Cavani

Injury list: Martial, Jones

Doubt: Rashford, Bailly
