Man United XI vs Liverpool: Fernandes fit - Starting lineup, team news and latest injuries for Premier League

Bruno Fernandes is fit to start Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Liverpool, while Marcus Rashford is also in the starting line-up after recovering from a dead leg suffered in the comeback win over Atalanta.

Rashford has scored twice in two games since making his return from the shoulder problem that delayed his start to the season.

“I don’t know. I hope so and I think so,” said Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, when asked whether the forward would be available to face Jurgen Klopp’s side earlier this week.

“It was a dead leg and sometimes it can take longer than what you want. But if we treat it well, he should be okay.”

On Fernandes, Solskjaer added: “Games like Wednesday night are always going to bring knocks and bruises.

“We do have two or three from that game. Bruno might be one of them that is a doubt, but he’s doing everything he can to be ready.”

Fred also hobbled off late in the game against Atalanta but is also ready to feature from the off. The Brazilian resumed his partnership with Scott McTominay at the heart of the midfield against the Italians and the pair link up again.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer is once again facing questions about the balance of his side, particularly around the roles of Pogba, who is on the bench, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who leads the line, as well as the worrying form of Jadon Sancho since his summer arrival.

Raphael Varane remains out injured, but Anthony Martial is closing on a return after coming back from international duty with France with an injury.
