When deputies arrived, they found the teen victim unresponsive in the middle of the road, according to the sheriff's office. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen's family identified the victim as 16-year-old Evan Robinson. Detectives believe an altercation led to the gunfire that killed Evan, an innocent bystander, authorities said. On Thursday, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office announced deputies had arrested 19-year-old Ruben Perez, of Keyes, in connection with the shooting.
