Man Arrested After Columbus Statue in Bahamas Smashed With Sledgehammer

A man was arrested and taken into custody after he allegedly used a sledgehammer to destroy a Christopher Columbus statue in front of Government House in the Bahamas on October 9, according to the local newspaper the Tribune.

The country’s Prime Minister Philip Brave Davis said he expected the man would be dealt with in accordance to the law, according to Eye Witness News on October 12.
