HPE (HPE) is falling after CEO Meg Whitman announced she’s stepping down after six years at the helm of the company. Antonio Neri, HPE’s president, will become the new CEO in February. HPE also reported earnings that beat expectations but warned of an earnings miss in the current quarter.
JPMorgan (JPM) is changing its tune on bitcoin. Despite CEO Jamie Dimon calling the cryptocurrency a fraud, the bank is looking to allow clients to trade bitcoin futures. This comes about a month after the CME announced plans to launch bitcoin futures.
Tesla (TSLA) shares could surge to $400 a share and then quickly short-circuit to half that. At least that’s what a Morgan Stanley analyst thinks. In a note, Adam Jonas said he believes that next year Tesla will rake in the cash after fixing production problems. However, after that, he predicts the volatile stock will fall to $200 because of the competitive electric car market.
Apple (AAPL) just bought VR and AR headset maker Vrvana, according to TechCrunch. The buy should help the tech giant reach its goal of shipping augmented reality headsets by 2020. While we don’t know all the products Vrvana is working on, it has put out the specs on its unreleased Totem headset that Apple is reportedly interested in.
