Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams is joining a new real-life quiz drama alongside Fallout's Walton Goggins.

Press Your Luck follows the true story of Michael Larson, who in 1984 went on the titular game show with a secret – the key to endless money, though his winning streak was threatened when executives uncovered his true motivations.

The movie will star Black Bird's Paul Walter Hauser as Larson alongside Williams and Goggins, while Nomadland's David Strathairn, Swallow's Haley Bennett, John Wick's Shamier Anderson and Oppenheimer's David Rysdahl are also on board.

Other cast members include Jackass' Johnny Knoxville, Chicago PD's Brian Geraghty, Theater Camp's Patti Harrison and Indiana Jones' Shaunette Renée Wilson.

Press Your Luck comes from director Samir Oliveros, who has co-written the script with Maggie Briggs.

“Samir has crafted a unique and stylish telling of the incredible true story of a down on his luck everyman gaming the system,” said Dave Bishop, CEO of production company Protagonist Pictures (via Deadline).

“We couldn’t be happier to be working with the very talented Samir and our friends at Fabula and Plenty Good.”

Williams most recently appeared in Apple TV+ series The New Look, playing the role of Christian Dior's (Ben Mendelsohn) sibling Catherine.

Meanwhile, back in February the actor revealed that she would be up for reprising her role as Ashildr in Doctor Who.

“Yeah, potentially!,” she told Collider. “I’d love to work with Ncuti [Gatwa], that would be so cool. I actually had never even [thought] about it.

"People are always asking me about Arya [Stark from Game of Thrones] – no one asks me about Ashildr. So maybe! I would love that, that would be cool.”

Press Your Luck is in post-production, with a release date yet to be confirmed.
