2 Under-the-Radar REITs That Could Steal the Spotlight

Large-cap REITs like American Tower, Simon Property Group, and Public Storage are three examples of REITs that most U.S. investors are at least somewhat familiar with. Small-cap office REIT Empire State Realty Trust (NYSE: ESRT) is the largest stock holding in my own portfolio, so it seems fitting to start with that. Empire State Realty Trust owns the iconic Empire State Building as well as another dozen or so office properties in Manhattan and the New York City area.

    Maryland Route 91 will close for months amid bridge replacement work in the Finksburg area, according to the State Highway Administration. The closure is set to start at 5 a.m. on Monday, just north of Maryland Route 140, as crews start work on replacing two bridges, one over the North Branch of the Patapsco River and another over the Maryland Midland Railroad tracks. The existing bridges, erected in 1967, are due for replacement. Maintaining traffic flow while working on the old bridges has proven challenging.
