A representative of the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) confirmed “some deaths” after a mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on May 24.UCISD Chief of Police Pete Arredondo said the shooting occurred at approximately 11:32 am at the elementary school, which has children in second, third, and fourth grades.The shooter acted alone and was deceased, Arredondo reported.Governor Greg Abbott said at least 14 children and one teacher were killed in the shooting.Abbott said the suspect, 18-year-old Salvador Romas, a resident of Uvalde, was dead. “It’s believed that responding officers killed him,” he added.This is a developing story.
