Biden Signs Executive Orders for Enhanced Food Benefits and Workers' Rights

When Joe Biden was elected president, he pledged to make meaningful strides in the pandemic immediately upon taking office. The president signed two executive orders on Friday, Jan. 22, to help struggling Americans with food insecurity and to protect the rights of the jobless. Biden is asking the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to allow states to expand access to enhanced Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.
