Love Island viewers have branded Tuesday’s episode (January 31) the “best ever” following a series of explosive rows.

During the instalment, Liv confronted Tom about his kiss with Ellie, which kicked off a string of arguments with Zara, Ellie, Tanyel with Kai, Aaron with Tanyel, and Lara with Ron.

The tensions left fans wondering how any of the contestants will end up recoupling “if they all hate each other?”

Semi-professional footballer Tom Clare was the first to feel the fury when Olivia Hawkins, 27, found out about him kissing Ellie Spence, 25, on the terrace days earlier.

In an attempt to cover his tracks, the 23-year-old claimed he kissed Ellie on a different day than Olivia stated, but the comment went down like a lead balloon.

Confronting him, Olivia asked: “Do you have anything you want to tell me? Nothing about the terrace today?”

Appearing baffled, Tom asked: “No, what?”, to which Olivia responded: “Yeah, with Ellie.”

Trying to remove himself from the confrontation, Tom said: “The terrace today? Nothing on the terrace today.”

Olivia questioned: “No kiss?”

Realising he had been caught out, Tom attempting to back out of the situation on a technicality saying: “Well we had a kiss the other day, not today.”

Understandably unimpressed with his response, Olivia fumed: “Didn’t fancy telling me that?” and went on to blast him for claiming bombshell Ellie was “just a friend”.

Elsewhere, tensions boiled over between Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall after he confessed his head had been turned by new arrival Samie Elishi.

Lana said she finally had enough of Ron’s indecision about their romance, explaining that he doesn’t make her feel “like she’s number one.”

Fans praised her decision, with many commenting on social media that she deserved “so much better”.

And if you thought the verbal tussles ended there, think again as Tanyel Revan gave Kai Fagan a piece of her mind after he admitted to the boys that his head had also turned for bombshell Samie.

As the drama-filled episode came to a close, viewers admitted that the instalment was exactly what they were waiting for.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “This is the night I’ve been waiting for #LoveIsland luv the dramaaa” (sic).

“This is the kind of episode I’ve been waiting for,” another remarked.

A third commented: “Watching Tom, Ron, Aaron and Kai getting cooked is the drama we’ve all been waiting for.”

“IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE. TURN IT UPPPP,” another enthusiastically penned.

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm.
