Louis Vuitton Teases Upcoming Collaboration With Yayoi Kusama

Nicolas Ghesquière's Cruise 2023 collection for Louis Vuitton, which was revealed in San Diego last week, not only revived an iconic Carrie Bradshaw moment but also the house's iconic collaboration with Yayoi Kusama from 2012.

Shortly after the show, the fashion brand announced the second chapter of its partnership with the Japanese artist, which marks its 10th anniversary this year. Back in the early 2010s, the creative covered LV's leather accessories with her signature polka dots, marking one of the house's bestselling collaborations to date.

The upcoming release, as previewed on the runway, features a toned-down version of Kusama's dots, including metallic bubbles from her installation Narcissus Garden comprised of mirrored orbs. Other pieces feature colorfully painted dots in white, red, blue, green, yellow and more.

Take a sneak peek at the second chapter of Yayoi Kusama x Louis Vuitton above. The designs will hit LV stores worldwide in January 2023.
