Los Angeles County Lifeguards Rescue Dog on Jet Ski

Lifeguards from the Los Angeles County Fire Department jumped on a jet ski to rescue a dog who was swimming offshore in Malibu, California.

Footage released by the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Lifeguard Division shows two lifeguards transporting the dog, who they said was found swimming 600 yards from shore near Nicolas Canyon Beach, back to its owner.

In a post on Facebook, the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Lifeguard Division said it wasn’t an “everyday ocean rescue” but they were happy to help the dog to the beach.

“While rescues like this one sure put a smile on our face, Lifeguards would like to remind beachgoers that dogs are not allowed on Los Angeles County Beaches,” they added. Credit: Los Angeles County Fire Department, Lifeguard Division via Storyful
