Locked in a car, Sacramento man arrested on suspicion of burglarizing Placer County home

A Sacramento man was arrested after allegedly burglarizing a residential garage in North Auburn, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

In a Friday Facebook post detailing the arrest, the Sheriff’s Office wrote that Roman Migashkin, 32, of Sacramento was arrested Oct. 12 for allegedly breaking into the garage of an elderly couple who live on Cramer Road.

Migashkin locked himself inside the couple’s car after they saw him in the garage and went inside to call 911, according to the post.

Migashkin had an outstanding Sacramento County warrant, deputies said. According to the post, Migashkin was in possession of methamphetamine, a smoking pipe and items from the victim’s car when he was arrested. He’s been charged with several drug offenses, as well as buglary and receiving stolen property.

Migashkin is being held in lieu of $100,050 bail at the Auburn Main Jail and will next appear in court on Tuesday, according to jail logs.
