Local schools have received a dozen safety threats this fall. Here’s where and what happened

Monday morning, officials responded to a school shooting threat at Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas. Middle and high schools in the Kansas City area have received at least a dozen safety threats this fall, according to The Star’s reporting.

Several students have been arrested in connection with these threats, which are commonly disseminated on social media. Some other incidents are still under investigation, or authorities decided the threats weren’t credible.

The threats against Kansas City area schools have included a number of shooting threats, a bomb threat and several other threats of violence and unspecified harm. So far, none of the threats have proven substantive.
