Yahoo Movies Lizzo Revealed The Rest Of Her DMs With Chris Evans After She Sent Him A Drunk Message
Update, April 28, 2021: Drunk DMs don't always work out in one's favor, but Lizzo might just be the exception. Last week the singer shared her drunk DM with Chris Evans to the world of TikTok then later updated it to confirm that he replied. Well, it seems the conversation kept going for a bit because Lizzo posted yet another update of the whole ordeal on her page.
"So let's see what your pause game is like," Lizzo laughed in the TikTok video. She added in a screenshot of her DMs with Chris for only a moment, so you have to pause it perfectly to see what they talked about. ICYMI, Lizzo's first message was a simple string of emojis of her shooting her shot and Chris replied saying there's "no shame in a drunk DM."
From her follow-up video we can see that she sent him another message after that saying, "Well.. they say u miss 100% of the shots you never take 😏 (and even tho I unsent it like a dork 🤦🏾♀️ ) I'm glad u know I exist now 🥰🥰🥰." To which he replied, "Of course I do! I'm a fan! Keep up the great work!! xxx."
UMMMM! I'm not saying I've ever sent a drunk DM, but if I *had* it definitely didn't go as well as this exchange! Because of the placement of the video, we can't decipher exactly what else was said, but it's safe to assume they went back and forth with some banter for a couple of messages. Now I know Chris isn't a singer...but here's hoping we get some sort of Chris Evans content on the next album. Manifesting it.
Original Post, April 19, 2021: It's fair to say that we all have a collective crush on Chris Evans, right? Apparently, celebrities aren't immune to celebrity crushes either...at least according to Lizzo. The singer and TikTok aficionado posted a video to her account explaining that she got drunk and messaged Chris on Instagram and it is truly so relatable.
In the short TikTok video, Lizzo sits in front of a screenshot while mouthing a viral TikTok sound by user @therealtati who made it after being asked about Chris Evans herself. Lizzo lip-synched her video which said: "The reason I'm upset about this one is because I know I'm not going to be able to marry him, and honestly...it hurts me to the core because damn Papi he a rare breed, no comparing."
Then, Lizzo moved her head to reveal her DM, which was a simple series of emojis that showed a basketball player literally shooting their shot. "Don’t drink and DM, kids.... for legal porpoises this is a joke," she wrote in the caption. We totally feel her on the day-after-drinking embarrassment but several hours later she stitched her own video and showed Chris' response to her message. "No shame in a drunk DM god knows I've done worse on this app lol," he replied after following her back.
Lizzo didn't say exactly what liquor it was that lead to the message, but my guess is some kind of tequila. It's always tequila.
