Liverpool XI vs Wolves: Predicted lineup, confirmed team news and latest injuries for Premier League today

Liverpool could be boosted by the returns of Joe Gomez and Naby Keita against Wolves this afternoon.

Centre-back Gomez has been out for over a month but could be back in contention for the trip to Molineux after Jurgen Klopp delivered a positive update on his recovery from a leg injury.

In addition, Keita is nearing his comeback from a thigh problem after making his return to training in recent days.

"It was really nice to see them in training, they looked brilliant,” Klopp said on Friday. “They will use the next two days and do what they have to do. If nothing happens they should be in contention again."

The busy Christmas period could see the Liverpool team that won 4-1 at Everton rotated, with Ibrahima Konate and Joel Matip to continue sharing the central defensive spot next to Virgil van Dijk.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner are pushing for starts in midfield. Curtis Jones (eye), Harvey Elliott (ankle) and Roberto Firmino (thigh) are all unavailable.

Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Jota, Mane.
