Yahoo Movies 'Live' Star Kelly Ripa Just Revealed Rare Photos of Her Kids on Instagram

Kelly Ripa is one happy mom.
After giving her two cents about the best time to eat Thanksgiving dinner, the Live With Kelly and Ryan cohost sat down with her family on Thursday night to enjoy a feast. Although she didn’t share pics of her festive Thanksgiving meal, she posted something even better.
One by one, Kelly’s kids, Michael, Lola and Joaquin, joined her for several heartwarming snaps. Set to the theme song of the HBO drama Succession, Kelly posted the family pics on her Instagram Stories on Sunday with the caption, “Scenes from a Turducked weekend.” She also added the hashtag #turducked, plus turkey, duck, chicken and baby chick emojis, possibly hinting that her family enjoyed a turducken for the holiday.
In case a turducken doesn’t ring a bell, many Americans commemorate the November holiday with a turkey, but others opt for the unique combo of a turkey, duck and chicken. According to Kelly, there’s a good reason why she and her husband, Mark Consuelos, may prefer a turducken instead of the traditional bird. Back in 2018, the daytime TV talk show personality opened up to Entertainment Tonight about an incident that happened years ago that ended with a “half a raw turkey, half a dry turkey.” Due to a malfunctioning oven, Kelly and her family were “put off” by turkey and they now prefer “protein alternatives.”
No matter what the protein looks like, one thing's for sure — Kelly and Mark's kids love it all.
“Joaquin is really big on the sage and butter pork chop,” she told the outlet. “He loves it so much! My daughter is more like my people. We like a whipped mashed potato, but we also like a mashed sweet potato. We like anything mashed and carbohydrate.”
