Celebrity hair stylist Lou Teasdale has just finished her stunning kitchen renovation, unveiling a sleek gold and white design that oozes with style.

The stylist, who lives in London's Hackney, wanted to revamp her open-plan space before putting it on the market. What once was a tired-looking room is now an Insta-ready retreat with practical floor-to-ceiling units, hidden storage, a statement island, and integrated appliances. It was a big job, but it paid off.

'From the beginning, I really wanted an impressive kitchen. I think it needed a real focal point and something special,' says Lou, speaking about the design process. 'I'm so pleased — it looks expensive and like a custom-made kitchen. It was a little bit of an extravagance choosing quartz worktops, but it was something I really wanted. It makes the room feel really bright and it's made a huge.'

There's also a touch of Scandi, too, with critall doors and comfortable wooden chairs ideal for relaxing. As for the accessories, Lou has spruced up the room with mid-century pieces such as a globe chandelier, starburst clock and eclectic pieces arranged on exposed metal shelving.

The 37-year-old stylist worked closely with Wren Kitchen's expert designer to create her bespoke look, explaining he 'took on the role of her husband' until she was happy with the space.

Darren Watts, Wren Kitchens' Design Director, adds: 'Lou had a vision from the outset on how she wanted her kitchen to look. We closely collaborated with her to offer knowledge and expertise on the design and we think it looks absolutely amazing! The contemporary handleless units and glistening gold profile offers a real designer aesthetic and it's the perfect canvas to add her own personality which she's applied perfectly.'
