Lego Ant-Man Gets the Little Details Perfect

With Ant-Man ready to astonish at the box office this weekend, it’s time for the toys. Aside from the exclusives that debuted last week at Comic-Con, Ant-Man will be hitting shelves in the guise of action figures, construction sets, and even race cars. First out of the gate is Lego, which today unveiled its blocky take on the film’s poster to promote its cheeky building set based on the film’s climactic battle.

That scene, teased in the trailer, finds the miniaturized hero and his nemesis, Yellowjacket, battle amid a pile of children’s toys, including Lego bricks that seem ginormous.

The set includes minifigures of both the Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) Ant-Men, as well as the lethal Yellowjacket (Corey Stoll); a large trusty ant sidekick and two smaller ones; and clever versions of Lego bricks and screws made from the blocks.

Among the other toys unveiled today by Marvel: multiple Hasbro action figures, including one set that features Ant-Man and his insect steed, a Pop! vinyl figure, a Mattel Hot Wheels styled after Ant-Man’s trademark cybernetic helmet, and an Ant-Man-branded Ant Farm from Uncle Milton. The nefarious Captain Chia and his army of sea monkeys don’t stand a chance.
