Lawsuit describes Sacramento homeless plan as 'rushed, behind-the-scenes, political deal'

Could the City of Sacramento’s plan to house the homeless in the W/X Corridor lay the foundation to create a skid row? According to a business owner who filed a lawsuit, the answer is yes. The lawsuit calls the City of Sacramento Master Siting Plan to Address Homelessness a "…rushed, behind-the-scenes, political deal that blatantly ignores serious short- and long-term, and potentially fatal harm to the unhoused, and wholly disregards significant environmental impacts that will occur as a result of the project." Included in the lawsuit is a letter given to the city council from the Coalition for Compassion last month.
