Tottenham secured their place in the Europa League knockout stage despite a sub-par showing as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Austrian side LASK.

Spurs were poor for large portions of the game and trailed early in the first-half after Peter Michorl’s long-range strike put the hosts ahead.

A Gareth Bale penalty on the stroke of half-time and Heung-min Son’s breakaway goal put Jose Mourinho’s side in front, but Johannes Eggestein levelled the scores five minutes from time.

Dele Alli’s cool spot-kick at the other end moments later looked to have settled the affair, but substitute Mamoudou Karamoko earned a deserved point for the home side with a stunning effort in stoppage time.

The result means Spurs are sure of their last-32 spot with a game to spare, but their hopes of winning the group will come down to the final fixture against Royal Antwerp.
