Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 4 game
The Los Angeles Chargers (1-2) have their first divisional matchup of the season as they host the Las Vegas Raiders (1-2) on Sunday at SoFi Stadium.
The Chargers opened the season with two dramatic losses and finally got a win in Week 3 against the Minnesota Vikings. This week, they will be without wide receiver Mike Williams, who suffered a torn ACL. Austin Ekeler may or may not return from an ankle injury and there is drama off the field as there was an arrest warrant out on Pro Bowl defender JC Jackson.
The Raiders, under new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, started strong against AFC West foe Denver Broncos, but have struggled since. Garoppolo went into concussion protocol after a Sunday night loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and could miss this matchup.
Los Angeles and Las Vegas have split their games every year since 2020, the Raiders' first season in Sin City. In their last matchup, the Raiders won 27-20 behind two touchdowns from Davante Adams of 31 and 45 yards.

Lorenzo Reyes: Chargers 30, Raiders 20
Los Angeles has been in close games so far this season, with the average margin of victory or defeat being just three points. The offense can put up points, but the defense yields a ton of yardage. I like the Chargers to cover here, however, because they protect the ball (just one giveaway this season) and the Raiders are yet to force a turnover and are tied for NFL worst -7 turnover differential.
Tyler Dragon: Chargers 27, Raiders 20
Raiders fans are going to vastly outnumber Chargers fans Sunday at SoFi Stadium. However, the plethora of Raiders fans are going to go home unhappy after the Chargers improve to .500 on the season. The Chargers have the NFL’s second ranked offense. LA’s poor defense might get a break this week if Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo remains in concussion protocol.
Victoria Hernandez: Chargers 27, Raiders 17
Justin Herbert will be missing Mike Williams — the Chargers' second-leading receiver — and the JC Jackson situation could be a tough distraction. But even if Los Angeles is missing a few more pieces than they'd like, the team still has more together than the Raiders.
Jordan Mendoza: Chargers 33, Raiders 24
It’ll be a home game for the Raiders in Los Angeles, but the fans won’t be able to will the offense to match the high-powered Chargers. Justin Herbert rips up the Las Vegas defense for a convincing win.
