We're all dedicated fans of Netflix's teen rom-com To All The Boys I've Loved Before so we couldn't be more excited for a spin-off, especially one about Lara Jean's little sister, Kitty Song Covey. Let's be honest, she's a bit of an icon already. So, from the release date to trailer, here's everything we know about Netflix's TATBILB spin-off series, XO, Kitty.

Is there a trailer for XO, Kitty?

Yes! Netflix dropped the trailer for XO, Kitty spin-off series on 25th April and we couldn't be more excited.

In the trailer, we see Kitty fly off to Seoul, South Korea to start at a new school and meet her online, long-distance boyfriend, Dae, but everything is not as she thought it would be, leaving her to find her own path in a new city.

In their synopsis, Netflix writes, "Back for another adventure, this time her own, Kitty Song Covey thinks she knows everything there is to know about love. She'll soon realise that relationships are a lot more complicated when it’s your own heart on the line."

What is XO, Kitty's confirmed release date?

BIG news guys! Almost 18 months after the spin-off series was announced, we finally have a release date. XO, Kitty will land on the streaming platform in full on 18th May 2023, reintroducing us to a now 16-year-old Kitty.

What is XO, Kitty about?

It's set four years after the last To All The Boys film. The official Netflix description reveals, "Ready to make her own mark in the world, Kitty leaves her Portland, Oregon, home behind to attend the same school her mum went to, the Korean Independent School of Seoul, or KISS. Kitty’s long-term, long-distance boyfriend, Dae (Minyeong Choi), also just so happens to go to KISS. In Seoul, love guru Kitty realises relationships are a lot more complicated when it’s your own heart on the line."

Co-showrunner Jenny Han, who also wrote To All The Boys I Love Before, added to Netflix's own website Tudum, "XO, Kitty really is Kitty’s story and that’s part of the reason why I really wanted to set this story in a different place. If you see the Covey house that we all know and love and their high school in Portland, you’d probably just be thinking, ‘Oh, what’s Lara Jean up to?'"

When was XO, Kitty announced?

Netflix announced it had ordered the ten part series as of Monday 18th November 2021, with a little preview clip on Twitter. Now, almost two years later, we'll follow Kitty as she moves halfway across the world to unite with her long-distance boyfriend.

Who has been cast in XO, Kitty?

From day one, we knew that TATB star Anna Cathcart would reprise her role as Kitty Song Covey for the series. Joining her is Choi Min-Young as Dae, Anthony Keyvan as Q, Gia Kim as Yuri, Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho, Peter Thurnwald as Alex and Regan Aliya as Juliana.
