While Kanye West has been pretty public about how not into his ex Kim Kardashian dating Pete Davidson he is, Kardashian and Davidson have kept a dignified silence. But insiders spoke to Page Six and Entertainment Tonight about how the new couple is taking West’s recent actions, including him rapping about beating Davidson up in a song and telling an interviewer that security at Kardashian's house wouldn't let him in to see his children.
Kardashian is beyond bothered by it. 'Kim has been overwhelmed and upset by Kanye's recent interviews and antics,' Entertainment Tonight's source said. Kardashian really just wants the two to have a healthy co-parenting relationship for the sake of their four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
'Kim's main priority has always been their children,' the source continued. 'Her goal has always been to have a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kanye, where both of them are involved.'
Kardashian, who filed for divorce from West last February, is also balancing her desire to move forward in her love life while also not upsetting West too much. (West has been open about his hopes to reconcile with Kardashian.) 'Kim has been trying to move on, but she also tries to be extremely respectful of Kanye and sensitive to his feelings,' the source said.
How is Davidson handling it? He has a good sense of humour about it. A source told Page Six that the Saturday Night Live star laughed off West rapping he wanted to 'beat Pete Davidson’s ass.'
'Pete thinks it’s totally hilarious,' the source said. 'Not just that — he thinks the whole [tabloid drama with him, West and Kardashian] is hilarious. He loves it.'
A second source added, 'The whole craziness with Kanye last week has brought Kim and Pete closer.'
The reports come just days after E! reported that West and Kardashian's relationship is, unsurprisingly, strained. A source close to Kardashian told the outlet, 'Kim and Kanye are not on good terms right now. She's really trying to keep the peace between them and for the sake of the kids.'
'Kanye has been desperately trying to get her back and Kim is just over it,' the source added. 'She wants to be able to move on in peace. The whole family sees Kanye for who he is and accepts him. They all still love him and want him around to be there for the kids. It's hard because they also want Kim to be at peace and to allow her to move on in her life. Kim is hoping they can have more of a structured schedule and Kanye will abide by it.'
