KFC debuts carnival-inspired fries at some restaurants. Here’s where to get them in KC

KFC is putting a sweet spin on a fast food staple, and Kansas City residents are among the first to try it.

The new Funnel Cake Fries are available at select KFC restaurants across the city for a limited time starting Tuesday, Nov. 29, the national chicken chain announced in a news release.

“Reminiscent of state fairs,” the new treat is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and dusted with powdered sugar, according to a product description.

The offering comes in three sizes, with the smallest starting at $1.99 plus tax.

After a successful test run this fall, KFC expanded the Funnel Cake Fries to more than 70 KFC restaurants in the Midwest including locations in St. Louis, Missouri; Omaha, Nebraska; parts of Arkansas and southeast Oklahoma, the release said.

The fries could come to more markets in 2023, according to the fast food chain.
