Yellowstone has been a huge hit with viewers. The season 4 finale was the most-watched cable TV show since 2017, and for good reason. The explosive Dutton family drama keeps fans on the edge of their seats week after week. As viewers await the season 5 premiere on November 13, we can't help but wonder what's next for Yellowstone. Will the show continue after season 5? Kevin Costner, who stars as John Dutton, recently spoke out on the shows future.

Kevin recently walked the red carpet for the premiere of Paramount+ UK. In an interview with Extra, Kevin addressed rumors that season 5 could be the end of Yellowstone. He said, "I really don't know. That's why I look to the future. I deal with everything I have to do, but I'm not going to get flat-footed by anybody."

One of Kevin's biggest fans, his own father William Costner, predicted the show wouldn't last very long. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Kevin revealed, "My dad, who passed away this year, my mom too, within months of each other, took a big interest in my career, and he said, 'You’re going to lose your audience fella, that is a naughty show. That is a naughty show.' He said, 'They’re gonna drift away son,' and I said, 'Dad,' [he said], 'You mark my words, it’s naughty.' I just had to look at my dad like, ‘Oh my God.’ And then two years later he’s going, 'The nurses wanna know how it ends.'"

Paramount Network has not confirmed the future of the show beyond season 6, but we'll keep our fingers crossed.
