Kelly Clarkson's Property Feud With Her Ex Husband Comes To A Close

The battle between singer Kelly Clarkson and her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock over their Montana ranch has seemingly reached an end. According to documents obtained by People, Clarkson has agreed to give Blackstock 5.12 percent of the property. The percentage Blackstock will receive is equal to $908,800 of the home's $17,750,000 value.

It was previously reported that a Los Angeles county judge awarded Clarkson ownership of the ranch last October. Despite this decision from the courts, several weeks later the talk show host was blocked from having Blackwood evicted from the property. According to a source, the decision was "a major setback" for Clarkson.

“Kelly recently had a major legal setback in a bid to get Brandon evicted from the Montana property that the judge awarded solely to her,” a source shared with Us Weekly. “He has been living in it and said he doesn’t have the financial means to afford to purchase a residence of his own at this time, citing the unresolved financial aspect of their divorce.”

Although Blackstock was awarded 5.12 percent of the ranch, which he argued was marital property, documents state that he does not have any ownership in the property adjoining the ranch that is owned solely by Clarkson.
