Kelli Giddish Extends ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Return With Second Season 25 Appearance

EXCLUSIVE: Kelli Giddish’s Amanda Rollins will be back on Law & Order: SVU. After making a guest appearance in the Season 25 premiere, Giddish will reprise her fan-favorite role in the upcoming Episode 11, Deadline has learned.

In the Season 25 opener, which aired in January, Amanda returned to celebrate the christening of her and Carisi’s (Peter Scanavino) baby. But the happy occasion was marred by the disappearance of a teenage girl. Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) realizes she saw the girl in a van as she was returning from the baptism and becomes obsessed with finding her.

In her exit episode, Giddish’s character Rollins married ADA Sonny Carisi Jr (Scanavino). Rollins also revealed she was on a new career path and had accepted a teaching job at Fordham University. When she returned, she surprised her former colleagues with news that she was pregnant.

“Playing Rollins has been one of the greatest joys and privileges of my life,” she posted on social media last year announcing her exit. “There is simply no other character on TV like Rollins. She’s grown and changed, and I have as well.”
