Yahoo Movies Kayla Harrison reacts to PFL owner Donn Davis’ multimillion-dollar offer to Cris Cyborg: ‘I wasn’t surprised’
Kayla Harrison says the PFL’s latest attempt to make a fight with Cris Cyborg happen is no front.
The PFL star and two-time Olympic gold medalist assures that PFL founder Donn Davis is serious about the recent offer he publicly laid out to Cyborg. Just last week, after a back-and-forth exchange between Harrison and Cyborg on Twitter, Davis interjected and made a multi-million dollar offer to make the fight happen.
“$1M each fighter + $2M winner bonus. PPV Super Fight … no more talk … decide the best inside the cage,” Davis wrote on Twitter.
Harrison wasn’t surprised to see those big purses get thrown out publicly.
“No, he means it,” Harrison told MMA Junkie Radio. “He’s not talking. I wasn’t surprised. PFL is here to make some big moves, and they’re not going anywhere, and I’m happy to be a part of it.
“We both want that fight, so we’re doing everything we can to make that happen.”

Harrison returns Saturday as part of the 2022 PFL women’s lightweight semifinals. She takes on Martina Jindrova in the main event of the 2022 PFL Playoffs 3 card in London.
Although Harrison is a massive favorite on paper, the 32-year-old won’t let the odds distract her from the task at hand.
“I think she’s an excellent striker. She’s got excellent footwork,” Harrison said. “She’s a big, strong, sturdy girl. I think she’s a really worthy opponent. I think she’s awesome, and I have nothing bad to say about her.
“It’s going to be a classic striker vs. grappler matchup. I’m going to go out there and still my will – one exchange at a time, one minute at a time, one breath at a time, and we’ll see what happens.”
