Yahoo Movies Katie Holmes Shared Rare Photos Of Daughter Suri Cruise In 15th Birthday Tribute
In yet another sign time goes by way too fast, Katie Holmes' daughter Suri Cruise is now officially one year away from sixteen now.
Holmes marked her daughter's 15th birthday with an adoring tribute on Instagram, complete with new (old) photos of Cruise. Holmes has largely kept photos of her daughter off social media, so the tribute is a very rare look into Cruise's life with Holmes.
'Happy 15th Birthday Sweetheart! I love you!!!!!!!! ❤️💕😘 I can’t believe you are already 15! [sic]' Holmes wrote to Cruise. She shared a carousel of photos, featuring two of Cruise and Holmes hugging.
Holmes has made a point not to talk at length about Cruise in interviews. But in her ELLE UK cover story in December 2019, Holmes spoke a little about how the two grew up together. Holmes gave birth to Cruise when she was just 27 and was 'happy' to become a mother in her twenties.
'It’s been nice that our ages fit… how do I put this? Every age that my child has been and my age at that time has been a good match. We kind of grew up together,' Holmes said.
She later added that yes, she, like most other parents, worries about the world Cruise is taking in. When asked if she's concerned about her teenage daughter being subject to bad influences, Holmes responded, 'Doesn’t every parent? But, yes, of course I’m worried. There is so much bad news and hate and things that don’t make sense… The atmosphere around the world is… terrifying.'
