It's over for Katie Holmes and restauranteur Emilio Vitolo Jr.

The couple, best known for wearing matching masks and walking around N.Y.C., took their final stroll "several weeks ago," according to a People source. "There was no drama," they added.

"It was amazing while it lasted, but they are at very different places in life," the source continued. "Emilio has no hard feelings. His life is in N.Y.C.," Holmes, who recently wrapped a film in Conn., "can't wait to get back to work and to travel again."

Holmes's rep told Us Weekly that the actress and chef "remain friends."

The unexpected couple first made headlines back in September with their frequent outings, inevitably clad in a pair of Evolvetogether masks. Though mask requirements are relaxing in the U.S., it sounds like we'll never have the pleasure of seeing Holmes and Vitolo's naked faces round a SoHo corner together.
