Kate Middleton stepped out with Prince William today for a ceremony honoring U.K. Holocaust Memorial Day in Westminster. The holiday takes place annually on January 27 to commemorate the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau—which marks its 75th anniversary today—and honor the survivors of the Holocaust and genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur. At this year's memorial, the Duke of Cambridge is set to give a reading and the couple will meet survivors.

The Duchess of Cambridge dressed in gray for the solemn ceremony, wrapping up in a Catherine Walker coat, tights, and black stiletto pumps. She toted a black clutch that matched the belt buckle and collar on her pewter frock, and accessorized with pearl cluster earrings.

This isn't Duchess Kate's first time wearing Catherine Walker, who was also a go-to designer for her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. The Duchess of Cambridge, a proud royal outfit repeater, last wore this coat for a visit to King's College with the queen in March 2019. At the time, she completed the ensemble with a black hat, opaque tights, and block heeled pumps. The monarch stood out in bright pink against Kate's cloudy color palette.

In addition to attending today's memorial, Kate paid her respects by photographing Holocaust survivors in a series of tender portraits for an exhibition. "Their stories will stay with me forever," she said of meeting and working with her photo subjects.
