Kate Middleton is taking over two of Prince Harry's old jobs

It's been a fair few months since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry officially confirmed that they'll never be resuming their roles as senior working members of the royal family back in February, and now it looks like Kate Middleton is stepping into some of Harry's shoes.

Following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's step down from royal duties, Kate is reportedly set to take on not one, but two, of Prince Harry's former roles - and it sounds like a fun move for the Duchess.

Taking over from Harry, it's thought Kate will become patron of the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and Rugby Football League (RFL), according to a report from The Sunday Times.

Kate's new roles are reportedly expected to be announced in the coming months, with the new move coming ahead of the rugby league World Cup which takes place in October and November in England.

Plus, Kate's next venture could prove to create some fun rivalry in the Cambridge household, as Prince William is currently patron of the Welsh Rugby Union - with the two teams playing against each other every year in the Six Nations.

Prince Harry was previously patron of the RFU and the RFL for five years, before stepping down in February of this year, and he was vice-patron of the RFU for six years before that, from 2010 to 2016, taking over the patronage from the Queen.

It seems like the new move could certainly be a fun one for Kate, who's thought to be a big rugby fan. Her sister Pippa Middleton revealed how important the sport is to the family in a Vanity Fair article back in 2014, writing, "Rugby was a big thing in our family, and the focal point was international matches... We’d plan our weekends around the matches... If we lost, my dad would be in a state of despair for the rest of the afternoon, as if he’d actually lost the game himself."

Good luck to Kate in the new role!
