It appears the Duchess of Cambridge is following in sister-in-law Meghan Markle’s style footsteps, or at least proves that great (stylish) minds think alike.

Kate Middleton, 38, visited the Ely and Careau Children’s Centre in Cardiff on Wednesday, where she attended a baby sensory class. It’s the latest stop in her tour celebrating the launch of her new 5 Big Questions survey.

The survey, targeted towards adults living in the U.K., was launched with the goal of stimulating a national conversation and informing where the Duchess will focus her advocacy work around early childhood.

“Through our 5 Big Questions, we are bringing together the thoughts of individuals, organizations and businesses so that we can build the healthiest generation in history by giving every child the best start in life,” an official statement from The Royal Foundation reads.

This latest engagement in Cardiff is the second stop in her 24-hour tour of Britain. It follows a visit in Birmingham yesterday.

Kate, dressed in a camel-coloured coat by designer Massimo Dutti, opted for a classic double-breasted silhouette, similar to the one the Duchess of Sussex wore when visiting Canada House earlier this month

Meghan, also a fan of the Spanish label, was seen wearing a midi skirt from the brand that day, which she paired with a Reiss coat that may have inspired Kate’s latest fashion choice.

Unlike Meghan’s monochromatic look, Kate paired her cashmere coat with a simple black turtleneck, black Ralph Lauren boots, and an on-trend pleated leopard skirt. Originally retailing for $50, the affordable animal-print skirt hails from one of Kate’s favourite high street brands - Zara.

Although the skirt is currently sold out online, you can still shop the animal-print trend with some of our favourite options for a Duchess-inspired look.
