Kansas City area restaurants with health code violations: Tapatio, Rock & Brews, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links to the reports are not available).

Tapatio Mexican Grill, 151 S. 18th St., Suite A, Kansas City, Kansas, had 16 priority violations during a March 13 inspection following a complaint.

Rock & Brews, Prairiefire, 5701 W. 135th St., Overland Park, had 11 priority violations during a March 16 inspection following a complaint.

Austins Bar & Grill, 245 N. Moonlight Road, Gardner, had 10 priority violations during a March 16 routine inspection.

Choga Korean Restaurant, 6920 W. 105th St., Overland Park, had 10 priority violations during a March 20 routine inspection.

La Carreta, 949 E. Lincoln Lane, Gardner, had nine priority violations during a March 16 routine inspection.

Conroy’s Public House, 4730 Rainbow Blvd., Westwood, had eight priority violations during a March 14 routine inspection.

Sonora Tacos & Bar, 105 S. Clairborne Road, Olathe, had eight priority violations during a March 20 routine inspection.

Sushi Karma Asian Bistro + Bar, 5820 Johnson Drive, Mission, had eight priority violations during a March 20 inspection following a complaint.

Ssong’s Hot Dog, 10308 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a March 14 routine inspection.

Aruba Mediterranean Grill and Sweets, 9520 James A. Reed Road, had 12 critical violations during a March 15 routine inspection.

1VP Restaurant, 6024 Troost Ave., had 12 critical violations during a March 16 routine inspection.

Brio Italian Grille, Country Club Plaza, 502 Nichols Road, had nine critical violations during a March 13 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a March 20 follow-up inspection.

Carriage Club, 5301 State Line Road, had eight critical violations during a March 15 routine inspection.

New China Star, 502 N.W. Englewood Road, had eight critical violations during a March 15 routine inspection.

Big T’s Bar-B-Q, 6201 Blue Parkway, had seven critical violations during a March 17 routine inspection.

The Original Peachtree Buffet, 6800 Eastwood Trafficway, had seven critical violations during a March 17 routine inspection.
