The Flight Attendant may have been confirmed for a second season, but its star and executive producer Kaley Cuoco is still reflecting on the first.

Following the unsurprising news that Kaley's co-star Michiel Huisman is unlikely to return for season two, the Big Bang favourite has revealed which one of her colleagues delivered an audition that made her "bawl".

Recalling TR Knight's audition for her on-screen brother Davey Bowden, Kaley – who plays flight attendant Cassie – told Entertainment Weekly: "I was actually headed to dinner one night and I was early, so I'm looking through the tapes.

"I open [TR's] tape, and the first few lines, I just start bawling... I said, 'That's my brother.'"

Although TR got the job right away, he and Kaley ended up "barely working together", with the majority of their characters' interactions happening over the phone.

"But I always remembered [his tape]," the actress added. "Just that minute when he looks in the camera and he says, 'Cassie, are you okay?' It just kills me every time."

Fans will be hoping for yet more brother-sister scenes when The Flight Attendant returns for its second season, which was recently given the green light.

Shortly after the announcement, it was confirmed that co-showrunners Meredith Lavender and Marcie Ulin would be leaving the series. Instead, Queen of the South's executive producer Natalie Chaidez will now serve as the show's new co-showrunner, alongside screenwriter Steve Yockey.

The Flight Attendant, based on the book of the same name by Chris Bohjalian, airs on Sky One and NOW in the UK and HBO Max in the US.
