Kaley Cuoco Opens Up About Her Tough Divorce on ‘Ellen’

Kaley Cuoco stopped by Ellen Tuesday and opened up about her divorce from former tennis pro Ryan Sweeting. The split was reported in the fall of 2015. “Last year was very bizarre and um, we all go through really weird ups and downs. And sometimes I’m a little bit more seen. And everyone goes through that stuff,” said Cuoco. “So I already feel like 2016 is going to be a much better year than 2015. And you know, it’s been rough, but things are going good. And I’m much much better now, and I’m in a much better place than I was.”

Cuoco not only had to move on from her marriage emotionally, but physically as well. Shortly after her marriage, she had her wedding date tattooed on her back, something she obviously regretted after the split. Kaley covered up the tattoo and documented the process on Instagram, and while the symbolism of that was not lost on her, the inspiration behind her new ink was very simple. “The significance is it was it was big enough to cover the numbers,” explained Cuoco, “The wings — big wings.”
