Kaley Cuoco Changed Into These Sleek Neon Sneakers That Perfectly Matched Her 2021 Emmys Gown

Leave it to Kaley Cuoco to make a bold statement on and off the red carpet. The actress stunned at the 2021 Emmys in a standout custom gown by Vera Wang, styled by Brad Goreski, that electrified the event thanks to its brilliant neon yellow color and like-a-glove fit.

"Kaley has never done custom before and she was nervous about it. So when Vera Wang's team approached us, we were open to it, but didn't want to commit just yet. They did two dresses, so we had the ability to choose. Kaley wanted an electric color for the Emmys, and once we saw the sketches, we were done! Vera is such an icon and this dress really made Kaley's dreams come true," Goreski tells InStyle.

And while the red carpet photos show Cuoco standing tall in strappy Le Silla heels in the same standout shade of citrus yellow, it's endearing to know that the star later changed into comfy, casual sneakers by APL for the late night festivities.

"Kaley likes comfort, so we had to make a deal for the Emmys. I told her she had to wear a high, sexy heel for the carpet because it's part of the outfit, and she had to commit to it," he explains. "She was a real champ about it, but I just knew a sneaker would come into play for the after party. That's just who she is! My job is to make her happy, so I pulled some sneaker options for the evening, too," Goreski said.

Cuoco happily showed off her TechLoom Tracer sneakers by APL, a low-profile trainer with pull-on functionality and cushioned insoles with custom orthotics for added support. This sleek style comes in 28 colors (some of which are also available on Amazon), so it's no wonder there was a perfect match for Cuoco's gorgeous designer gown.

"Thank you @apl for the most perfectly matched late night sneaker a girl could ask for!" she captioned her Instagram post, posing in her bright athletic footwear, exuding good vibes and silly facial expressions. Gotta love her.

Goreski also tells us that the Emmy nominee wore matching APL Lusso Slides in the car, so it sounds like there were quite a few footwear swaps throughout the evening.
