Justin Timberlake confirms he and Jessica Biel welcomed their second child, a boy named Phineas

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have welcomed their second child, a boy named Phineas, the singer confirmed.

Speaking on Monday's episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," the "Can't Stop the Feeling" singer, 39, revealed he and his actress wife Biel, 38, recently had a new addition to the family, though he did not specify when.

"He's awesome and he's so cute and nobody's sleeping," Timberlake told DeGeneres. "But we're thrilled. ... Couldn't be happier, very grateful."

Speculation rose in late 2020 about the couple's new bundle of joy after a handful of stars mentioned their new baby, though this is the first time Timberlake or Biel has spoken publicly on the matter. In September, Lance Bass told Entertainment Tonight that Timberlake had shared photos of the baby in a group chat with the rest of their former NSYNC bandmates. Late-night host Jimmy Fallon told ET in December that the baby was "so cute ... adorable and already funny."

Timberlake said DeGeneres was one of the first people outside their immediate family whom they told about the pregnancy. DeGeneres joked she was such a good secret keeper that she had "completely forgotten" about his revelation.

The celebrity couple met in 2007 and married in a romantic ceremony in Italy in 2012. They welcomed their first child, a boy named Silas Randall, in 2015. Timberlake said Monday that the 5-year-old is turning into a bit of a musician, though he's also interested in Legos, tennis and his Nintendo Switch.

"It's a lot of fun, but I guess the saying goes, 'You go from a zone defense to a man-to-man really quickly,' " Timberlake said of the difference between having one child and two. "Like, 'split, you go get this one, I'll go get that one.' But it's great and Silas is super-excited."
