Dear White People's Justin Simien is going from Winchester College to a galaxy far, far away.

During a Disney investor presentation Thursday, Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy announced that the writer-director is developing Lando, a Star Wars event series centered on Lando Calrissian, for Disney+. This is presumably one of the 10 Star Wars shows in coming to the streaming service in the next few years.

As of right now, it is unclear who will star in the project. Billy Dee Williams portrayed the charming smuggler in the original Star Wars trilogy and returned for 2019's Star Wars: Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker. Meanwhile, actor-musician Donald Glover (Atlanta) played the part in Solo. The latter seems a tad more likely.

The Lando news was part of trove of Lucasfilm announcements made Thursday, including Hayden Christensen's return as Darth Vader in Ewan McGregor's forthcoming Obi-Wan Kenodi series and the development of two Mandalorian spin-offs (The Rangers of the New Republic and an Ahsoka Tano series starring Rosario Dawson).
