Yakuza spinoff Judgment is getting a sequel, only a couple of years after the original game was released. Lost Judgment is coming to PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on September 24th.

It continues the story of brawling detective Takayuki Yagami, who has another horrific murder to solve. Lost Judgment takes place across two main locations, the fictional Tokyo district of Kamurocho, and new locale Yokohama. The game will have day-night cycles.

Yagami will have more fighting styles, stealth and movement abilities, and he'll get back on his skateboard. As part of his investigation, he'll need to go undercover at a Yokohama high school. Yagami can help out with students in side missions called School Stories, which balance out the serious main story with some "laughs, tears, struggles and maybe even a little suspense too," according to Lost Judgment producer Kazuki Hosokawa. Among them are a dancing rhythm minigame and boxing mission, which will bring more of Yakuza's lighter elements to the Judgment saga.
