Jude Law explains challenge of new movie's full-frontal nudity scene
Jude Law has opened up about baring all in his new movie Eden.
Inspired by a real-life story, the Ron Howard-directed survival thriller follows a group of people who flee post-World War I civilization to start over on the Galapagos Islands, exploring the lengths humans will go to in their quest for happiness.
Law's character Friedrich Ritter is a doctor who lives on the Island with his wife Dora Strauch Ritter (Vanessa Kirby). In one particular scene, he goes fully nude – a situation which had its challenges, the actor admitted.

"We all had to be audacious," Law explained during a Q&A after the film's recent Toronto Film Festival premiere (via Variety).
Recalling his nude scene, he said: "For me, the challenge was trying to find movement in his rigidity. He didn't want to be moved or bent. That was the challenge for me – and the nudity."
Eden also stars Sydney Sweeney, Ana de Armas, Daniel Brühl, Richard Roxburgh, Felix Kammerer and Toby Wallace.

"There was something enticing about being in an ensemble," Law continued. "In the beginning, we're all asking, 'How far are we going to go?' It's a lovely and fluid game of trust and chance."
Eden is based on a true story and explores "the human condition in ways that are unexpected, absurd, humorous, sexy, but above all thrilling and deeply suspenseful".
"I'm fascinated by stories based on real events," Howard explained at the Q&A. "As dark and bizarre as the story is, we prove that survival of the fittest is connected to love and family."
However, the filmmaker also teased that the film could "have been crazier," adding: "There were twists and turns we didn't go down."
