Josh Brolin replaces Pedro Pascal in new horror movie
Dune star Josh Brolin has replaced Pedro Pascal in upcoming horror movie Weapons.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Barbarian filmmaker Zach Cregger's latest project was forced to push back its filming start date, planned for autumn 2023, due to last year's writers' and actors' strikes.
This delay reportedly caused a scheduling conflict with Pascal's upcoming role in Marvel's Fantastic Four movie, which is slated to begin filming this summer.

Pascal was attached as Weapons' lead in May of last year, though it has now been confirmed that Brolin will take over the role.
While the role is still being kept under wraps, the film has been described as "an interrelated, multistory horror epic" in the same vein as 1999's Magnolia.
Elsewhere, Brolin is soon set to reprise his role as Gurney Halleck in Dune: Part Two, which arrives in cinemas on March 1.
While fans are also hoping to see Brolin's return as villain Cable in Deadpool & Wolverine, the actor has remained coy on the possibility.

"No. I don't know. Because Ryan [Reynolds] doesn't like me? I don't know… Maybe," he recently told with Collider when asked if he will make an appearance.
As for Pascal, he was recently confirmed as Reed Richards in Marvel's highly-anticipated Fantastic Four movie, alongside Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm.
Pascal will also appear in Ridley Scott's upcoming Gladiator sequel alongside the likes of Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington and Barry Keoghan, as well as a new romantic comedy from Past Lives director Celine Song.
